Flammable water?

If  companies are drilling for natural gas in your area, you may have flammable water - among a host of other problems. They are looking to drill more site in the NYS area. But don't take it from me, watch NOW on PBS  for more about this "green" source of energy and how it is affecting everyone.

A Girl's Life

Many of us rememner high school as one of the worst ( and sometimes best) times of our lives. Things have changed a lot since then. I have found this new program from Rachel Simmons and PBS which documents the lives of 4 teens. Watch this innovative program about teen girls; what they think, what they do, and what they live with on a daily basis. I think it may open a lot of eyes as to the reality of our daughter's lives.

PBS Parents offers benchmarkers that correpsond to the shows your child watches on a regular basis. There is a teacher's version as well that will offer you the school benchmarks when working with your child as well. All of these can help you prepare your child for the transition from home to kindergarten giving them a heads up.
